PETER A. KEBLISH, M.D.
An extremely accomplished and internationally recognized orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Peter Keblish is one of the original founders of OAA Orthopaedic Specialists.
Dr. Keblish specializes in hip and knee replacement and is recognized as one of the major contributors to the development of mobile bearing total knee arthroplasty, having served as Clinical Director and major FDA evaluation site for a number of total joint related systems.
A Vietnam veteran who was awarded a Bronze star, Dr. Keblish focused on trauma and amputation during his service. After completing his medical degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, in addition to three fellowships, he went on to join Orthopaedic Associates of Allentown (now OAA). He originally focused in arthroscopy and foot and ankle surgery before specializing in total joint reconstruction.
Dr. Keblish has served as the Chief of Orthopaedics at Lehigh Valley Hospital and is currently a Director of the Total Joint Learning Center and International Visitation Center for Total Joint Reconstruction. He has received numerous honors, including: "Guide to America's Top Surgeons, 2006 Edition, Consumer's Research Council of America" and the "Sir John Chamley Award - Arthritis Foundation, 2001".
Dr. Keblish is very active in medical education and teaching. He participates in orthopaedic resident rotations at Penn State – Hershey and Jefferson University and has lectured extensively (both domestic and internationally), authoring dozens of articles in peer review journals. In addition, Dr. Keblish is is the review editor of a recently published textbook, "LCS Mobile Bearing Knee Arthroplasty - 25 Years of Worldwide Experience" and is co-editor, along with a major European Teaching Center, of "Primary Knee Arthroplasty."
