DR. NANCY K. SPANGLER
Dr. Spanger directs The Work Injury Center at OAA. A physician in the Lehigh Valley since 1986, Dr. Spangler has dedicated her practice to Occupational Medicine since 1991.
She is well-known for her expertise in treating and managing injured workers, and has worked extensively with many area businesses and industries. She enjoys touring company plants and factories to learn about the job demands of injured workers.
Dr. Spangler’s practice at OAA primarily involves musculo-skeletal injuries (pain or injuries sustained to the hands, elbows, neck, back, shoulders, knees, ankles). She works with a team of OAA physical therapists, and occupational/hand therapists. Dr. Spangler works cooperatively with OAA’s in-house case manager and insurance case managers. She has extensive knowledge of the Pennsylvania Workman’s Compensation laws and focuses foremost on worker safety in developing “Return to Work” strategies.
