Patients Honor Dr. Talsania with Patients' Choice 5 Year Award

August 03, 2017

Dr. Jay Talsania of OAA’s Hand Institute was recently recognized by Vitals as a “Patients’ Choice 5 Year Honoree.” This award is honored to physicians whose patient ratings reflect excellence in care for five consecutive years. Only 1% of doctors in the United States are bestowed this honor by their patients.

Vitals mission is to empower people to shop for health care like an expert, no matter where they are or what their health care needs are. Regarding the Vitals Physician Awards Program, “Millions of patients each year rate their doctor on Vitals.com. We analyze these ratings, along with other quality measures, to name the physicians admired most by their patients in communities across the country.”

Dr. Talsania became the first fellowship-trained hand surgeon in the Lehigh Valley when he joined OAA in 1997. Today, OAA’s Hand Institute is comprised of four fellowship-trained hand surgeons that devote their practices to the management of the hand and upper extremities. Dr. Talsania has extensive experience in the surgical and non-surgical care of:  fractures of the elbow, forearm, wrist and hand; arthritis of the wrist, thumb and fingers; flexor and extensor tendon injuries; chronic and acute wrist pain and tendonitis problems; nerve compression syndromes (cubital, carpal and radial tunnel); tumors, infections, and reconstruction of arthritic conditions.
