Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Amy Mattle, R.D.N. began practicing at OAA Orthopaedic Specialists in 2017. Amy is the first Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in the long history of OAA Orthopaedic Specialists, and brings with her many years of experience helping people with a variety of health goals and conditions through the effective use of nutrition.
Amy has always enjoyed health and wellness, and is a firm believer in the fact that eating well provides the foundation for us to become the best versions of ourselves. She became inspired to help others when her oldest son was diagnosed with autism. When she learned about her son’s diagnosis, she helped him with what she knows best; nutrition. Seeing how well her son responded to a special diet, Amy became even more passionate about sharing her knowledge with other individuals and families.
Amy has helped countless individuals achieve their health and wellness goals, and has equipped them with the knowledge for long term success. Amy regularly helps individuals with a variety of goals and conditions including: weight loss, weight gain, fatigue, digestion issues, gluten sensitivity, diabetes, cancer, and more. Amy also has experience working with athletic populations interested in sports performance.
Amy derives the greatest satisfaction from teaching people how to live a healthier lifestyle and watching them evolve into the best versions of themselves. In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. She is also an avid reader and likes to maintain her own health by exercising, hiking, biking, and doing yoga.
