Originally from Souderton, PA, Christine Ciaverelli attended East Stroudsburg University where she received both her bachelors and masters of science in athletic training. She went on to pursue her career as an athletic trainer, and after gaining a few years of experience, decided to return to school to become a mid-level practitioner. She attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in June of 2012 and completed her studies to become a physician assistant in August of 2014.
Christine was inspired to study medicine because of her passion for helping others. "I chose to go into medicine because I enjoy helping people," says Christine. "Throughout my life I've had family members suffer with different ailments and I really appreciated their health care team helping them return to doing what they love most. I strive to give that same care to my patients."
When asked about the importance of providing quality patient care Christine stated that, "The best way to provide quality care is to really get to know your patients and provide care that you would want your own family members to receive." Christine loves being part of the collaborative environment at OAA. "This practice is a great fit for me because there is a team effort on behalf of all the physicians, physician assistants and medical staff," says Christine. "Everyone works to provide the best medical care possible for their patients."
In her free time, Christine enjoys an active lifestyle, which includes spending time outdoors, running, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
