Donna M. Mueller, D.O., is an AOA board-certified Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM) physician who offers Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment (OMT), with a focus on therapies and patient education to maintain those treatments. She provides hands-on adjustments, including osteopathic cranial manipulative medicine, to re-align the body for those with pain. Dr. Mueller completed a specialty residency in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (O-NMM) in 2016 at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to completion of her specialty residency, she also holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Over the last 20 years Dr. Mueller has worked in healthcare using yoga. While working as a therapist in cardiac rehab, Dr. Mueller began teaching yoga in the late 1990’s. Her classes catered to patients with breast cancer at Fox Chase’s Complete Care and cardiopulmonary disease at Mercy Haverford. She later started a yoga program at the Cleveland Clinic Florida to serve both patients and employees alike. Dr. Mueller was one of the earliest persons certified as a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) through the Yoga Alliance and is now certified as an RYT-500, as well as being a certified yoga therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT).

Her intention to fuse yoga and medicine eventually led her to be accepted into an osteopathic medical training program at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in 2003 to study hands-on adjustments. Dr. Mueller has been an osteopathic physician since 2007 and is proud to be able to offer her patients a broad perspective in approaching their care.

What is Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment?
OMT is a technique used by trained physicians to gently move a patient's joints in order to reduce tightness and restriction on the nerves. This technique is often used to relieve pain and is not a substitute for surgery or other medical treatments. OMT is often used to treat conditions such as headaches, neck pain and knee problems.
