Originally from Roslyn Heights, NY, Tamar obtained her undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University in New York City. She then received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the Touro College School of Health Sciences in Bay Shore, NY.
Tamar was inspired to become a Physician Assistant after her sister was involved in a skiing accident several years ago. “She had so many orthopedic injuries,” says Tamar. “It amazed me to see the surgeons put her back together. She is perfectly healthy now and I know it was due to the skill of the surgeons and therapists who took care of her.”
When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Tamar says “It’s very gratifying to see patients before their surgery, and then to see them afterward and knowing how much they have improved. It is very rewarding to know that I participated in changing their lives for the better.”
When not assisting in her patients’ care and recovery, Tamar enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
