Step-Down Program

Step-Down Program
Supporting your individualized post-therapy needs!
Following completion of physical therapy, patients may be referred to OAA's Step-Down Exercise Program by their therapist. This program is designed to help participants continue building strength, mobility, and confidence through a customized exercise plan developed specifically for their ongoing needs and goals.

Before beginning the program, patients complete a health and fitness questionnaire, discuss their goals with the therapy team, sign a liability waiver, and prepay for their selected sessions. Each participant receives a personalized workout plan created by the program's managing exercise physiologist in collaboration with the referring therapist. The plan outlines recommended exercises, repetitions, sets, and appropriate progression guidelines to support continued improvement.

To ensure a safe and supervised environment, all workout sessions must be scheduled in advance. Scheduling allows our team to provide appropriate staff support and monitoring during each visit. Upon arrival, participants check in with the front desk, where attendance is recorded and a session is deducted from their prepaid attendance card.

Patients are responsible for keeping their attendance card throughout the duration of the program. A replacement fee may apply if a card is lost.

The Step Down Exercise Program provides a structured transition from formal therapy to independent exercise, helping patients maintain their progress and continue working toward their long-term health and fitness goals.
