Joint Replacement Center

Joint Replacement Center

OAA's Joint Replacement Center is regionally recognized for its expertise in joint replacements for the hip and knee.

Their reputation for excellence began here at OAA with co-founder Dr. Peter Keblish. Dr. Keblish performed the Lehigh Valley’s first joint replacement procedure in 1971. He is recognized as of one of the major contributors in the development of mobile bearing total knee arthroplasty. He served as Clinical Director and OAA was a major FDA evaluation site for evaluation and performance of joint replacement procedures and devices.

Dr. Paul F. Pollice has been practicing in the Lehigh Valley since 2001. He performs over 600 joint replacement procedures each year, and is a fellowship-trained specialist focusing exclusively on hips and knees. With this high quantity of surgeries performed, Dr. Pollice remains committed to the patient experience and provides a compassionate and individualized approach for the patient. Dr. Pollice was the first certified physician in the region to perform total knee replacements using computer-assisted surgery. He lectures regionally and nationally and teaches other surgeons new and evolving techniques for hip and knee replacements.

Dr. Kevin K. Anbari also specializes in hip and knee replacements. He is an expert in the latest techniques, including the anterior approach for hip replacements, partial knee replacements, patient-specific instrumentation for knee replacements, and complex revision surgery. Dr. Anbari derives the most satisfaction from witnessing the positive effects that joint replacement can have on his patients’ lives.

The physicians and clinical staff at OAA's Joint Replacement Center pride themselves on their ability to provide the finest in individualized patient care. Services include:

  • Surgical procedures for all types of advanced joint replacements, as well as partial joint replacements and reconstruction, including complex revisions.
  • Treatment for all types of chronic joint pain using the most recent joint replacement techniques and arthritis treatments available.
  • National recognition for their commitment to medical education, teaching, and research in joint replacements and surgical options.

Allow our fellowship-trained surgeons to evaluate you for your hip and knee problems. We provide many second opinions for patients and would welcome the opportunity to show you and your family how we can make your experience most successful. Our techniques and synergies with physical therapy, pain management, and rehab allow us to provide the region’s most predictable and complete recovery possible. Before you choose a hip or knee replacement, allow us to show you why specialized training for these operations is essential for quality outcomes.

I sprained my MCL playing hockey and should have been out for six weeks. With the help of OAA and physical therapy I was cleared in three weeks and returned to action with Widener University. I feel better now than I did before the injury. OAA not only helped heal my MCL, but they also helped me understand that I was putting too much stress on my knees. They showed me how to incorporate my hips, translating to more power and speed on my skates. I cannot recommend OAA enough to any athlete!
