Michele Custer, originally from the Lehigh Valley, moved away to Florida for several years before finding her way back home to the Allentown area to work at OAA. She has always enjoyed working with and helping others so combining that with her fascination with medicine, nursing was a natural career choice. Michele has received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from DeSales University where she then went into a career in general surgery and treating patients with acute and chronic pain.
Michele works in our Work Injury Center with a focus on Workers Compensation and evaluative care for all OAA Specialties.

Michele is extremely pleased to work at OAA because she shares the same values as the organization. “While being the leading orthopedic practice in the area, OAA does not feel like a big institution and the treatment plans are all individualized based on the patients’ direct needs,” said Michele. She really enjoys getting to work with all the physicians and advanced practitioners at OAA and really getting to know her patients and their stories to help them get through their most difficult times and restoring their quality of life.
In her free time Michele enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with family and friends.
