Dr. Omar Fareedi, originally from Aurora, Illinois, entered medicine to help people. Orthopedic surgery has always been a personal interest as it often allows for a direct and immediate impact on patients’ wellbeing. Throughout his training, he was privileged to work with great mentors who guided his approach and are the reason why his focus became spine surgery.
Dr. Fareedi aims to emulate their patient focused approach to his own practice and continue to better himself as a physician and person. Dr. Fareedi attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and then went on to complete his Orthopedic Residency at the University of Pittsburgh and Spine Surgery Fellowship at the University of Rochester in NY.
Dr. Fareedi treats a variety of spine issues such as spinal stenosis and the various conditions and pathologies associated with it including spondylosis, spondylolisthesis, radiculopathy, and neurogenic claudication. He also focuses on herniated discs, various types of spine trauma such as compression fractures, myelopathy and spine instability and deformity.
Dr. Fareedi is proud to be part of OAA because of their excellent reputation for having some of the best orthopedic surgeons and physicians in the Lehigh Valley. Equally important is their reputation for excellent patient care that extends from every person that works for the organization. In his free time, Dr. Fareedi enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially exploring new restaurants, farmers markets and finding fun ways to spend the weekends.
