Meet Kelsey Powell, PA
Originally from Reading, PA, Kelsey attended Albright College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology. She later attended Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, Florida, where she obtained a Master’s of Medical Science degree.
Kelsey was inspired to work in medicine because she enjoys helping people live the healthiest lives that they can. “No one likes being in pain or being limited by injury. It is satisfying seeing people return to their previous lifestyles,” says Kelsey.
When asked about the importance of providing quality patient care, Kelsey stated that “Health care is rapidly changing to become more efficient and I think it’s important that quality is not overlooked. Patients deserve the best care to help them return to their daily activities and to enable them to do things that they enjoy.” Kelsey is happy to be a part of OAA because “I like that the patients are able to be seen by one group for multiple different subspecialties. It allows patients to have well-rounded orthopaedic care.”
In her free time, Kelsey enjoys staying active and running. “I have a long bucket list of things I want to do and I like trying new activities,” says Kelsey. She is currently trying to run a marathon in every state, and is averaging two or three marathons per year.
